Nancy R. Berman, MSN, ANP-BC, NCMP, FAANP
Nancy R. Berman has been in practice as an Adult Nurse Practitioner with emphasis in women’s health care since 1978. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan and her Master of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Currently, she specializes in women’s health care at Millennium Affiliated Physicians, a division of Michigan Healthcare Professionals, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She is a clinical instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She holds the certification of Menopause Practitioner from the North American Menopause Society. She is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Ms. Berman has taught extensively on lower genital tract disease, including HPV, cervical cancer prevention, HPV testing and HPV vaccine, management of the abnormal Pap test, colposcopy and vulvar and vaginal disease. She has also been active in education in the management of menopause and osteoporosis. She served on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) from 2009 to 2016, co-chaired their education committee, and holds their Colposcopy Recognition Award. She serves on the Michigan Cervical Cancer Consortium and served on the Michigan Governor’s Task Force on Cervical Cancer. Recent publications by Ms. Berman have appeared in The Journal for Nurse Practitioners, ADVANCE for Nurse Practitioners, Women’s Health in Primary Care, and chapters in Advanced Health Assessment of Women 4th edition and the Atlas of Primary Care Procedures, 3rd edition, Lippincott, Williams.
Jennifer Carlquist, PA-C
Jennifer is a physician assistant who speaks nationally on cardiology topics. She specializes in teaching the high risk findings that the machine software may miss. She works in the ER and cardiology.

Josh Hamilton is a family psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of experience. He has full prescriptive authority in Nevada and has been licensed to practice in several states as well as in British Columbia. He earned his doctorate in nursing from Rush University and bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Wyoming.

He is nationally certified as a psychiatric-mental health nurse; family nurse practitioner; family psychiatric nurse practitioner and nurse educator. He has been nominated for the AACC David R. Pierce Faculty Technology Award and was recognized as a doctoral scholar by the National League for Nursing. In 2017, he was inducted as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He is a certified master clinical psychopharmacologist through the Neuroscience Education Institute.

Previously, Dr. Hamilton worked for UNLV, the College of Southern Nevada, Touro University, Wyoming Behavioral Institute, University of Victoria, Casper College and Harmony Healthcare, where he was associate medical director. In addition to his private practice, he is a contributing professor at Walden University and Adjunct Professor at Roseman University of Health Sciences. He speaks regularly around the country about new advancements in behavioral health and psychiatry.

Dr. Hamilton is interested in neurobiology and epigenetics. His clinical practice and research have been focused on pediatric mental health, producing a model of adolescent insight development. He has studied the impact of culture on the presentation of anxiety disorders in young adult populations and has gained expertise in nursing educational administration, program development and evaluation.

Theresa Mallick-Searle, MS, RN-BC, ANP-BC
Theresa Mallick-Searle is an Adult Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience at Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, California.
Theresa’s current clinical practice within the Division of Pain Medicine, focuses primarily on evaluation and treatment of individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions in both the hospital and outpatient settings.
As part of her commitment to education and professional development, she lectures extensively on topics surrounding pain management both locally and regionally.
She has authored and co-authored numerous articles, abstracts, and book chapters on topics pertaining to pain assessment and management. Theresa is a clinical preceptor for NP and PA students in the greater Bay Area; she also mentors and instructs the fellows and residents on the Stanford Pain Service.
Theresa is actively involved in multiple professional organizations including: The American Association of Nurse Practitioners, California Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Society of Pain Management Nursing and American Academy of Pain Medicine.
As part of her commitment to safety and ethical treatment of patients with pain; Theresa has provided services as an independent expert witness on issues related to pain management and treatment.

Dr. Sally Miller has been practicing as a nurse practitioner for 25 years. She is board certified as a family NP, Adult/Geriatric, Acute NP, and recently as a Psych/Mental Health NP. Dr. Miller is an associate professor and Associate Dean for Graduate Affairs at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. She maintains an active clinical practice with ICarePsychiatry. Sally has published over 30 research and clinical articles with emphasis on issues related to adult health and illness as well as obesity. She has been an active conference presenter and author in the NP community since 1996.

Karen M. Myrick, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, ANP-C
Dr. Karen M. Myrick is Associate Professor of Nursing, with a Joint Appointment in the School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, and Nurse Practitioner at Orthopedic Associates.

Dr. Myrick has 30 years of nursing experience, nurse practitioner for 19, and professor for 7. She continues to maintain a clinical practice in orthopedics and sports medicine in the orthopedic urgent care, and is an avid half marathoner, triathlete and martial artist. The recipient of multiple research grants, she publishes regularly in peer-reviewed journals, and actively reviews for several. Her research focus is sports medicine, and she has contributed to multiple published books, and is the primary author and editor of a book for Springer Publishing released in September 2016. Dr. Myrick received the 2016 National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) “Outstanding Researcher Award” and multiple “Outstanding Poster Awards”.

Committee work includes Membership for the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS), Education and Resources for the (National organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty) NONPF, Government Relations for CTAPRNs. Board work includes Strategic Advisory for the global, interprofessional Clinical Case Reports Journal, and the Center for Responsibility, Education and Action, and the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society. Dr. Myrick has worked with a national workgroup to draft the guidelines for appropriate use of injections in osteoarthritic knees. Proudly, Dr. Myrick is also the room parent for her daughter’s fourth grade.

Sohera N. Syeda, MD
Dr. Syeda is ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor at Boston University School of Medicine’s Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care Section and holds a Lecturer of Medicine appointment at the Harvard Medical School. She is a practicing physician at the VA Boston Healthcare in West Roxbury, MA and Bedford VA in Bedford, MA. She is on staff at Steward Norwood Hospital’s intensive care unit in Norwood, MA. She serves as a consultant to the Boston University School of Medicine, Barry M. Manuel Office of Continuing Medical Education and COPD Quality Improvement Consortium and has engaged in several collaborative COPD QI projects. She has presented on several pulmonary topics including COPD, asthma, smoking cessation and e-cigarettes/vaping at NPACE over the past two years.

Dr. Syeda received her MD in 2005 in at Rush University Medical Center and completed residency and Chief residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. She completed a Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellowship and conducted health services research focusing on the impact of prolonged mechanical ventilation and use of tracheostomy on chronic critical illness at Boston University. Dr. Syeda is engaged in various clinical, educational and administrative initiatives and is involved in various programs to improve the health of patients with advanced lung disease.

Wendy received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2019 from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. She is a 1992 graduate of the Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts and completed a family nurse practitioner post-master’s program in 1995. She is an adult and family nurse practitioner and the owner of two, nurse practitioner owned and operated clinics within New Hampshire named: Wright & Associates Family Healthcare. Her family practices have won numerous awards, including Top Providers in New Hampshire 2018, Top 20 Fastest Growing Family Business, and Top 20 Women-Owned Business in New Hampshire. In addition, she is the Owner of Partners in Healthcare Education, a medical education company. She is the Past President of NPACE and the Senior lecturer for Fitzgerald Health Education Associates.

She is the recipient of numerous awards and was chosen by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as the 1999 recipient of the New Hampshire State Excellence Award. In addition, she received the 2009 NH Nurse Practitioner of the Year and the 2014 Top 5 Women in New Hampshire Business Award. In 2005, she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; in October 2014, a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, and in March 2017, a Fellow into the National Academies of Practice.

She is the founder of the NH Chamber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, an organization designed to assist nurse practitioners with independent practice issues. In addition to full-time clinical practice, she presents nationally to different audiences and has been a speaker at over 1000 conferences in 47 states. She is the nurse practitioner representative to the State of NH Immunization Advisory Board. She has been a medical media spokesperson for numerous companies and has appeared on radio, television, and in print magazines. Wendy is frequently consulted by malpractice attorneys around the area of clinical practice and has worked on more than 100 malpractice cases involving nurses and nurse practitioners.
