    During this session the effects of stress (incl. telomeres), causes of burnout, definition of “extreme self-care” & benefits of being a healthy role model/ healthy patient will be discussed. Attendees will learn how healthy habits/lifestyle can improve competency, quality of care, patient safety, patient behaviors/outcomes, and clinician/patient quality of life. Strategies for life-long prevention of stress effects, burnout (for you/ your patients) will be discussed. Effective approaches for breaking unhealthy habits, and starting healthy habits including habit stacking (for you/ your patients) will also be explored.

    B1: PCOS 2020: New Risks, Complications, Diagnosis and Management
    During this session the current PCOS epidemiology, the complex pathophysiology, and the new and established associated risks and complications will be discussed. Attendees will learn about the common and less common symptoms and signs of PCOS & explain the individualized diagnostic work-up including the differential diagnoses of exclusion and newly identified associated risks. “Best practice” management approaches including pharmacologic treatments and lifestyle approaches including evidence-based nutritional guidelines will be presented.

    LP1: Influenza Treatment in the Primary Care

    By completing this session, participants will be able to apply new evidence into practice regarding the use of diagnostic testing, treatment and chemoprophylaxis for people with, or at risk for, influenza. Also, Incorporate the use of antiviral agents into practice based on their ability to reduce transmission, as well as treat people with influenza who are at normal or high risk for complications.
